Bachelorette parties are a time-honored tradition. Friends, both new and old, get together to celebrate the bride-to-be with silly games, funny stories, and champagne toasts! It’s the perfect time to reconnect with your best gals for one last hurrah before the big day.

Some brides opt for big city destinations, which can be challenging (and often expensive!) for the party-goers. But if you’re a bride who is a Southern girl at heart, or maybe you just want to get away from all the hustle and bustle, look no further than StarHill Farms for your weekend getaway.

This hidden hill-side getaway is especially perfect for Texas brides, too. It’s a quick hour and a half trip from Houston or Austin, and around a 3-hour trip from the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The Ranch House, which is ideal for a larger group, sleeps about 8 guests and includes a full kitchen (stocked with gadgets and cookware), bathroom and vanity area, laundry room, and a large front and back porch with views for miles.

Lauren, who chose StarHill Farms for her bachelorette venue shares, “My friends and I were able to have the most fun, stress-free weekend together.” Adding, “There were no lines, no crowds, no cabs—just fun!”

Spend your mornings sipping coffee on the porch while watching the sunrise and the cattle roam. The afternoons are for fishing, skeet-shooting, horseback riding, and exploring the 300+ rolling acres. “We all loved hanging out on the dock together and fishing. I think we spent the majority of the afternoon out there soaking up the sun and laughing,” said Lauren. “A few of us even caught a fish!”

Come nightfall, the fire-pit is a perfect way to unwind from the day and roast some s’mores. “There was nothing better than ending the day with a glass of wine next to the fire with my closest friends. We played Catch Phrase, gazed at the stars, and talked and reminisced for hours. It was the cherry on top of a perfect weekend,” said Lauren.

StarHill Farms is a wonderful place to enjoy the company of others, let loose and just have fun. Grab your girlfriends and come celebrate with us.

Lauren shares a few tips on how to plan the ultimate Southern bachelorette party at StarHill Farms:

  • Family dinners. While this was one of the most enjoyable parts of the trip, it has the potential to be challenging. We made a grocery list ahead of time and stopped on our way to StarHill Farms. We stuck to easy, crowd-favorite meals like lasagna and salad for dinner and bagels and fruit for breakfast. We all loved cooking together in the kitchen—it was such a special bonding experience.
  • Matching PJs. My maid-of-honor had the cutest idea to get everyone matching pajamas! It was so fun waking up together and cooking breakfast in our matching outfits. Nothing screams “sleepover” quite like matching PJs. Plus, it’s an adorable take-home gift that your guests are sure to use again!
  • Choose a cute theme! We went with a western theme. Everyone wore their best cowboy boots, cut-off shorts, flannel shirts, and cowboy hats! We also used the hilarious hashtag #TippingCowsBeforeTheVows and brought on-theme decorations and games, too. If a western theme isn’t your style, there are plenty of others to choose from and really make your own.
