A StarHill Farms Valentine

If life contains a wide breadth of feelings and experiences, why not revisit your most cherished ones?

#StarHillValentine

I always remember my trips to StarHill Farms. And, as we get older, that’s really saying something! What makes a memory, anyway? Well, it definitely has to do with our senses. The sounds, sights and feelings we absorb at any specific moment in time. We file them away so we can hold on to them, learn from them and grow.

What a great excuse be at StarHill. To fall in love with life, a little bit more. To make some memories with the people closest to you.

StarHill is full of sense-occupying things, what I call, “Memory-makers.” There are the animals with their cacophony of grunts, moos, and chirps. The log cabins with their historic charm and cedar-scented interiors. The weighty, rhythmic rolling of rocking chairs, and the blissful splash of wine pouring in the kitchen. I think this is where the magic of the farm comes from, all our senses taking in a special experience. It all adds up to a calming respite from your day-to-day, a shift toward more of the good things: more love, more romance, more memories, and more togetherness.

It begins with love.

The StarHill story began with early Texas settlers living in simpler times with a simpler lifestyle. It was a place of family and community. (You can still see remnants from artifacts like the old Sternenberg schoolhouse sign, and at the local Starhill Cemetery.) The tradition continues as The Frappiers maintain the farm as a welcome respite from the nearby cities of Houston and Austin. It remains a family-centered haven, where memories of holidays and good times can be shared.

With Valentine’s day among us, we'd love for you to share your memories so we can celebrate together. Tag StarHill Farms with #StarHillValentine
